The Whitney Museum will be presenting its plans for a new museum on Gansevoort Street between Washington and West Streets in the Meatpacking District to Community Board #2's Zoning Committee this Thursday, May 15th at 6:30 pm at Our Lady of Pompei Church's Father Demo Hall (corner of Bleecker and Carmine Streets, enter on Bleecker).  The plan needs several zoning approvals which will require votes of the Community Board, City Planning Commission, and City Council.  The Zoning Committee is expected to vote on the proposal Thursday night following the hearing.

This Wednesday, April 30th at 7:15 pm the Whitney Museum will present its plans to develop a new museum at Gansevoort Street between Washington and West Streets in the Meatpacking District.  The presentation will be at St. Vincent's Cronin Auditorium, 170 W. 12th Street, 10th floor.  In order for the Whitney to construct a museum at this location, they will need several zoning approvals from the City; those zoning approvals will be heard and considered by Community Board #2's Zoning Committee on Thursday, May 15 at 6:30 pm in Father Demo Hall in the basement of Our Lady of Pompei Church, at the corner of Bleecker and Carmine Streets (enter on Bleecker).  Anyone who is interested in this issue is strongly encouraged to attend.
