Lower floors, 840 Broadway. Designed in the Renaissance Revival style for Henry Corn, this 12-story commercial building was constructed in 1899-1901. Its architect, the German-born Robert Maynicke, was also responsible for the Guggenheimer Building, the New York Times and Havemeyer Buildings, as well as the New York Produce and Cotton Exchanges. Several garment factories and showrooms were located here throughout the first half of the 20th century.
