Nominations are now open for the 2015 Annual Village Awards. This year’s Awards will be held on June 17th. We invite you to submit nominations for anyone and anything that contributes to the unique quality of life in Greenwich Village, the East Village, and NoHo.

Village Preservation has been presenting its Annual Village Awards since 1991 to acknowledge the individuals, organizations, and businesses that make the Village such a great place. Past awardees include people, block associations, front stoop restorations, gardens, parks, restaurants, specialty shops, bookshops, schools, cultural organizations, churches, statues, and television shows. The awardees are as unique and varied as our neighborhoods. Check out the list of previous winners.

We get hundreds of nominations each year, so don’t be insulted or discouraged if your nomination does not result in an award this year. If you nominated someone last year, please feel free to do so again. It’s always helpful to know if there is a reason why this is the year that a nominee should receive an award. Let us know if a business is in danger of closing, a group is celebrating an important milestone, or to recognize a person with a lifetime of accomplishments has just added or is about to add a particularly significant achievement that makes it especially timely for them to get an award this year

If you think someone, something, or someplace is worthy, odds are other people think so too. Nominations are due by April 20th so send in your nomination today.
