A Beautiful Benefit!

On Sunday, GVSHP held it’s 13th annual House Tour Benefit in Greenwich Village.  The sun was shining and the turnout could not have been better.  Attendees were able to tour the interiors of seven diverse but equally exquisite homes, ranging from a 350-square-foot carriage house to a large restored Greek Revival/Italianate home.   Each dwelling exuded the character of its owner and provided for a unique and unexpected journey!

For those who purchased tickets to attend the cocktail reception as well, the house-touring fun did not stop.  This year the reception took place in a newly-renovated private residence with a magnificent roof space overlooking the entirety of the Village – a perfectly magical way to end the evening.  To view more photos of the event, view our Flickr page.  And if you missed the Benefit this year, it will take place again in 2012 on the first Sunday in May!

GVSHP would like to extend a special thanks to Alexander Kaplen for exquisite graphic design; Elizabeth Bauer Design for lovely gifts; the Greenwich House Music School for serving as the ticket site; Amy Gotzler and Brown Harris Stevens for in-kind marketing; our lunch tour sponsors; the 2011 Benefit Committee for their hard work and dedications; Betsey Ely & Leslie Mason for their tireless efforts as Chairs; Kate Bostock Shefferman, volunteer coordinator; Andrew Berman, Drew Durniak, Elizabeth Finkelstein, Andito Lloyd, Dana Schulz, and Sheryl Woodruff, of GVSHP, for their organizing efforts; our volunteers for their dedication and enthusiasm; and those Villagers who opened their homes to us – Peter Bordes & Kyung Choi, Alice Carey & Geoffrey Knox, Steven Gambrel, Elaine Goldman & John Benis, Melinda Hackett & Michael Drury, Philip Laffey & Randall Gibeau, Janice Lee & Stuart Shapiro, and Tracy & Mark Rudd.
