Before coming to GVSHP, Sarah worked as an architectural historian in preservation for the past eighteen years.  She grew up in Staten Island and received her BA in History from Lehigh University and her MS in Historic Preservation from Columbia University.   While attending Columbia, her internship was with Landmarks West! and she wrote her thesis on the New York City Apartment Hotel.  She has been a consultant since graduating with projects all over the Tri-State area.  She was one of the founders and a principal with the historic preservation firm, TKS Historic Resources, Inc., a historic preservation firm on Long Island.  Additionally she served as Chair of the Town of Huntington’s Historic Preservation Commission for the last three years.

“New York City is where I got my start in preservation and I am thrilled to have come back to work here.  It is especially exciting to be working with the community of Greenwich Village and its historically and architecturally rich area.”
