Status as of April 19, 2012: LATEST NEWS
This application was approved at the 4/17/12 LPC public meeting. The doors could not be repaired so they will be replaced. This application is now closed.

Status as of April 16, 2012:
We just learned that this revised application is scheduled for a public meeting on April 17th at the LPC, 1 Centre Street, 9th Floor. It is scheduled to be presented at 12:30pm.

Status as of January 25, 2012:
The applicant presented the proposal to the Landmarks Preservation Commission at their public hearing on January 24th. The Commissioners wanted to know if the historic doors seen in the c. 1940 tax photograph were either retained or replaced during the 1990 renovation of the building. The Commission took no action on the proposal and asked the applicant to return once this information is obtained. Public meeting date TBD.

Status as of January 18th, 2012:
The application was presented to the Community Board 2 Landmarks & Public Aesthetics Committee on January 17th. See above for photos. The application will be presented next at the Landmarks Preservation Commission’s public hearing on January 24th.

Status as of January 5th, 2011:
This application is scheduled to be shown publicly for the first time at the Community Board 2 Landmarks & Public Aesthetics Committee public hearing on Tuesday, January 17th, 2012, at 6:30 pm in the NYU Silver Building, 32 Waverly Place, Room 208 (as this information is subject to change, please visit the Community Board’s website for the most up-to-date information). Public attendance and testimony are welcome.
