Superior Inks Building

Village Preservation fought to try to get this last surviving factory on the Greenwich Village waterfront landmarked, but the City refused. We did however succeed in blocking a plan to build a 270 foot tall curving glass tower on the site, instead fighting successfully to prevent the developer from getting a zoning variance to allow a new structure larger than zoning allows, and redesigning the project as a more contextual historicist building.
